About Me

Hi everyone, my name is Aisha, I'm 22 years old, and I'm majoring in Health Services and Sciences. I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI and I've been here for most of my life. I have five brothers and two sisters. I was born and raised Muslim. I've been called shy my entire life and I believe I'm pretty introverted. There are a lot of different things I like. I'm always down to do most things. I like doing things with my friends, such as a night out, or going to a restaurant. I love watching movies and TV shows. I love watching anything that has to do with Marvel or a good anime. I also love A24 movies. They always have amazing movies. 

My music taste is all over the place. I'll listen to basically anything. I love listening to SZA, Harry Styles, J.Cole, Chase Atlantic, Smino and many other artists. I mostly listen to music in the car or when I'm at the gym. I also like listening to a few podcasts. I like reading occasionally. I have a whole collection of books that I need to read. I enjoyed reading as a kid but now it's hard to find time to sit down and read a few chapters. I love traveling. I've lived out of the country and I've visited California multiple times. I try to go somewhere every summer because Kalamazoo can get boring and it's nice to get out of this town. 

With this blog, I hope to write my thoughts on the topics that come up in discussions. I also hope to learn about the different ways to look at the self and how we as humans perceive one another. I think my perspective will be unique and interesting because I don't really have a grasp on who I am, and what that entails. I took this class because I hope that it will help me to figure out some things about myself that I may not have known before. So far, I think I've learned a lot about who I am, but it has also opened up a lot of questions about my identity. I think by the end of this class, I'll have a better grasp of who I am.
